Our Story & Heart
Our mission and our values demonstrate who we are and flow from what we believe.
Our Mission
"To impact the world around us through the Good News of Jesus Christ."
At Central Life Church, we exist to love God, love people, and see lives transformed by Jesus. We are a community of ordinary people on an extraordinary journey of faith.
Vision
Jesus Christ is the greatest treasure anyone can ever know. We are not a performance-driven people — we love as Christ loves. The basis of everything we do is through relationship with God and each other.
Together we can achieve more. We are a team-based community church with a passion to build strong and effective teams that serve the body of Christ — in our neighbourhood and across the nations.
God wants to heal, restore and transform all of humanity. We believe that through the Good News of Jesus, broken lives are made whole — and we carry that message of hope, healing and transformation to our community.
What Drives Us
The core values of any community reflect who it is and what it believes. These six values shape everything we do at Central Life.
We are not a performance-driven people — we love as Christ loves. The basis of everything we do is through relationship with God and each other.
We value relationship over function. We are more concerned about being in a relationship with a person than what function they can provide to the church.
We are a team-based community church. When we work together, using each person's God-given gifting, we can achieve far more for the Kingdom.
We apply God's grace and freedom to everything we do. We base our community and ministry on the freedom and the love that comes through Christ alone.
We believe being flexible to what God is doing at any given moment is the key to personal growth and to effective, Spirit-led ministry.
We are in relationship with the Full Gospel Churches of Australia, providing accountability, support, and connection with the wider body of Christ.
Our Statement of Beliefs
What we believe about the Bible instructs everything that we value as a church.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is accurate, authoritative and applicable today for our everyday lives.
We believe in one eternal God who is the Creator of all things. He exists in three Persons: God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. He is totally loving and completely holy.
Sin separated each of us from God and His true purpose for our lives. However, if we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord, we have forgiveness for sin — past, present and future — and salvation unto eternal life. (Romans 3:23; Romans 10:9)
Jesus Christ, as both God and man, is the only One who can reconcile us to God our Father. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place, and rose again to prove His victory over Sin and Death.
In order to receive forgiveness and the new birth, we must repent of our sins, believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and submit to His will for our lives.
To live the holy and fruitful lives that God intends for us, we need to be baptised in water by full immersion and filled with the Holy Spirit — who enables us to use spiritual gifts including speaking in tongues, prophecy and healing.
We believe in the power and significance of the Church and the necessity of believers to meet regularly together for fellowship, prayer and the breaking of bread. (Hebrews 10:23–25)
God has individually equipped each of us so that we can successfully achieve His purpose for our lives — to worship God, fulfil our role in the Body of Christ, and serve the community in which we live.
God wants to heal, restore and transform all of humanity so that all may live healthy and blessed lives and help others more effectively. It is not God's will that any should perish. (2 Peter 3:9)
Our eternal destination — Heaven or hell — is determined by an appropriate response to the Lord Jesus Christ and His free gift of Salvation for all.
The Lord Jesus Christ is coming back again as He promised. There will be signs signalling His return as written in the Scriptures of the Bible, and we believe these are the last days. (Isaiah 55:6–7)
Our People
Our leaders are servants who follow Jesus Christ as they set the vision and direction of our church community.
Pastors Keith & Dianne have led churches on the Central Coast for more than 25 years and love to encourage people to live great Christian lives. They have a passion to build strong and effective teams that serve the body of Christ, and their hearts are to see God's people go deeper with Jesus — restored, empowered and equipped to establish God's Kingdom locally and across the nations.
contactus@centrallife.com.auPastor Deborah carries a deep passion to see God's people thrive in every area of life. She is devoted to helping others discover their true identity in Christ and grow in intimacy with the Heavenly Father — made possible through Jesus' love, obedience and sacrifice. Wherever God leads her, Deborah brings a message of hope, healing and transformation.
In 1990, Pastors Ian & Sue pioneered and pastored the first Christian Outreach Centre in England after answering the call to be missionaries in their youth. They have pastored three churches in Australia and serve as Associate Pastors at Central Life, with a father's heart for the church to grow in understanding God's love through the Cross.
